ROCKUMENTARY: APRIL 13, 1971

Where were you on Tuesday, April 13, 1971?

In six weeks I would get a degree in chemistry that I would never use, and an hour earlier I would get two butterbars pinned on my shoulder, making me a second lieutenant – an officer and a gentleman – in the Army Signal Corps. Then what? It was one of those moments when you peer ahead and don’t know what is going to happen.

Let’s cue the Rockumentary theme!

San Remo Golden Strings: “Festival Time”

They were a one-hit wonder, and I always thought the song was about smoking weed in a railroad station. It came in at #10 this week.

Brewer & Shipley: “One Toke Over the Line”
