Weapon can’t be visible - that’s what my CC instructor said.

But what if the weapon is completely hidden inside a holster?
The holster itself is not a weapon but more like a leather pocket.

I depends on state law.

In NC and VA it matters not.

In some other states, even printing will get you arrested.

You had better check the law in your state and those you plan to visit.

Not here.

I should have added that even in states where either concealed, partially concealed or open carry is legal, provided you have a CCW, there are local PD’s and sheriffs who “write” their own laws and you could be arrested for going to the terror of the public.

For instance, the sheriff of Guilford County, NC, put out a letter stating specifically how a person who does not have a CCW must carry his weapon in a vehicle.

That is contrary to state law which says nothing about method other than it must be visible to any LEO who stops you.

The written opinion of the NC Attorney General states that there is no law directing how a non CCW person must carry in a vehicle other than it must be visible.

But some LEO’s make their own law on the side of the road.
