Yes many of the believe it. Tis a form of insanity, probably at least partially a side effect of centuries of inbreeding. (No joke or snark — Google “Islam inbreeding” to see what I’m talking about.)
They really believe it. As of 1984, per Joan Peters, From Time Immemorial, Harper & Rowe, the blood libel of 1841 was being taught in Egyptian schools as historical fact. Omar Sharif (or was it Ben Ghazara?) starred in a miniseries about it on Egyptian TV. There are books claiming to “document” this practice. In the Caucasus Mountains there are frequent pogroms incited based on this charge.
In 1841, the alleged victims were a Christian priest and his assistant in Damascus. The entire Middle East erupted with pogroms. Why do they care? Never miss an opportunity to kill people in a crazed frenzy?
