Well, the TEA Party, as originally established, was admittedly only about "fiscal" issues of taxation, and many of its early leaders scorned ANY social/moral issues being associated with the movement.
The TP is good as far as it goes, but it doesn't go far enough. Even STILL, it is largely a "fiscal-only" conservative movement, which couldn't care less about other equally important issues, wanting to "call a truce" on them (Mitch Daniels, anyone?). Until we have a party that espouses ALL the principles of true conservatism, we will be "men without a country."
Can anyone imagine the answers that Mitt Romney would be giving regarding this issue?
And then, ask why Romney was a better candidate than Santorum.
Maybe not to the core but that it's "leaders" have just gone squishy soft on the core tenets of what republicanism is. Much like the leaders of the Catholic Church have gone away from the core of Christ's church and what he preached.
Charles Voris explains here and in other videos on his ChurchMilitant.TV site what is at work here. Give it a look see.
Youre right. Once the GOP fully supports homo marriage, he and other purists will be completely marginalized.
If the GOP embraces same sex marriage, it will be the end of the GOP. The same fate will befall it should it embrace amnesty, abortion, gun control, ObamaCare or any other major failure to defend God, Life, Family, Country, Liberty!!
We don’t need another democrat/socialist party.
No we don’t and I will no longer EVER vote for the GOP! My candidate will have to pass a conservative litmus test from now on! The last election taught me something.
In order to attract more white people, the party will have to move to be more neutral on cultural issues. What group of social conservatives have we not already won who are hiding out there?
Well, I for one will have to take my licks and live with them, because there is a line I won’t cross.
Just the other day, someone here told me if it comes down to voting for a Democrat or a Republican who supports sodomite marriage, he’ll support the Republican every time———BUT, he hastened to say, that wouldn’t mean he himself feels the same!
I just might support Santorum again in 2016 to force the RNC platform to stay true to conservative social issues. You can’t have a truce on social issues when the Homosexual Agenda is bent on destroying faith and freedom.
Indeed. Thanks for the ping!
