Which explains why they *need* to move as fast as possible when an incident occurs.
If they wait to long logic and common sense overcome the passion of the moment.
Of course there is also the short attention span that the MSM has instilled into the American public to also consider.

Piers Morgan is very upset.

I’m not convinced. The Brown Shirts had good success in New York, Connecticut, and Colorado. Any more such “victories” and we are undone.

But you know they`re salivating-positively drooling over the hope of more kid`s graves to dance on! WE need to keep pushing for more trained and armed adults in the schools. These gun-free zones are killing too many people and threatening many more.

The Dem/libs have been engaging in a steady push to infringe on our right to keep and bear arms for decades. And this is how it has been working out for them in the last two decades...
- The percentage of Americans who own guns has increased.
- The percentage of Americans who believe we have a right to own guns has increased.
- The number of guns owned per gun owner has increased.
- The amount of ammunition possessed per gun owner has increased.
- Concealed carry laws have spread from state to state like wildfire.
- Castle Doctrine laws have been passed in numerous states that didn't have them.
- Stand Your Ground laws have been passed in more states than had them before.
- Gun rights lobbying groups have become a cottage industry unto themselves sprouting up like mushrooms after a rainstorm.
- In the worst economy since the Great Depression the firearms industry can't keep up with orders or expand fast enough.
- 65.4 Million Guns Bought Since Obama Took Office, 91% More Than Bush's First-Term Total
And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)
MOLON LAVE! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)

They can’t wait for the next mass shooting. It will drive their point home and they’ll be able to grab more.

Mission accomplished-—divide the country more. To me that’s what this has been all about.

I think if the onerous laws in these states can’t be overturned either in the courts or by the legislators the manufacturers of the gun industry have to make a stand by leaving the state and refusing service/sales to the entire state until all citizens are allowed to own the same as LEO.
For myself, I may just not buy those weapons or supplies from those manufacturers on that basis alone.
They are literally having loads of cash thrown at them to move their operations and there is no reason not to take it...

Just an opinion, not being a lawyer and all that but:
1. The Constitution prohibits the Government from doing what some of these States have recently done.
2. States whose politicians have openly conspired to violate the civil rights of their citizens under color of authority are now States being run by outlaws.
3. Citizens need not obey the anti-gun laws that have been enacted.
4. Law enforcement officers need not enforce the laws.
5. District Attorneys need not prosecute people arrested for violations of these laws.
6. Citizens who serve on juries have a DUTY to NULLIFY these laws with consistent NOT GUILTY verdicts.
7. Citizens have a DUTY to remove from political office ALL persons who have voted for these laws, and all other persons from public office or public employment who enforce these laws.

I'm afraid the government is involved somehow in the current ammo shortage. I have been trying for the past 2 months or more to buy .22 rimfire ammo and haven't found one single round available . The manager of the largest gun store in this area told me he could get $75 each for the 525 round boxes if he could get any from his supplier. The ammo makers blame the shortage on the huge orders placed by the federal government, but AFAIK the government doesn't use much, if any, .22 rimfire ammo.
Although gun ownership is protected by the 2nd A, the right to own ammo was not addressed by the recent USSC decisions and without ammo guns are useless for anything other than firewood or scrap metal. This makes me afraid that Obumma will get his way on the gun issue one way or another.

“The president has certainly done his part.”
Yes; he’s done his part to single-handedly abrogate the Bill of Rights to the United States Constitution.
He’s done his part to concentrate more power in his own hands than that held by any other president in history.
He’s done his part to redraw the United States as some sort of latter-day, Marxist retread.
As for anything productive, he hasn’t done jack sh*t in the last four-plus years.

Obama aimed at the wrong target intentionally or not. He targeted gun possession instead of gun use.

Background checks are totally worthless, just liberal feelgood nonsense. If a criminal is not legally allowed to own a firearm he’ll just go down to the ‘hood, or the trailer park, or the bodega, and buy one anyway. The black market is still thriving, and always will be.

He set out to lead a great crusade for gun control and ended up the best friend the gun industry ever had. So he just moved the game into the UN. It never ends.

Boo-friggin'-hoo, Politico.
They are upset because the left's attempts to exploit the deaths of several school children didn't result in as big an infringement on liberty as they had hoped.
We here in Colorado and those in Connecticut just had a significant share of our freedoms "fizzled" away.
