I'm sure glad. Now those law abiding citizens won't be out there invading homes and robbing people in the streets.

You can always count on leftist extremists to vent their hatred of both the Second Amendment and those of us who believe it means exactly what it says.

Stump a liberal...ask him to explain exactly how this law would have stopped Newtown.
No ‘assault weapon’....he can use a pistol.
No high capacity magazines?...Lanza had to use at least 10 magazines, and not one 6 year old child jumped him during the switch. In fact, he had free roam of the scholl until...welll...until the police came with their own guns.
Background check? Well, considering Lanza committed murder and aggravated robbery to get his gun, this probably won’t stop him.
Register magazines?!? Seriously. Lanza didn’t own any magazines.
Gun offender registry? Nope, Lanza wouldn’t have been on the list.
Eligibility certificate to buy ammo? Not a problem if you kill your mom to get ammo.
So go ahead, stump a liberal. This law was passed in the name of the dead children at Newtown. So, exactly which one of these laws would have prevented it?
BTW, I have a secret. I know how to prevent the next Newtown. Get an over-weight retired cop. Put a pitol belt, holster, and pistol on him, and sit him by the door.

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people."

Politicians always like to gather around some weepers and victims when they sign Bullhseit legislation.
Are these the same ones who gathered around Obama?

Yay. And now the State of Conn will have more to do defending this new law in the courts, one provision at a time.
Collectivism, like sin, complicates things.

The Democrat preferred method of defense in a Lanza scenario is to cower and hide or rush the shooter. Well, that’s what they tell us. But Lanza had to change mags at lesat five times and nobody thought to rush him.
But for a Democrat inaction is preferable to doing the right thing.
