In the current market, yes I find it pretty good.

Do you have a source for a better price? If so, please share it.

I haven’t bought any win Q3131 .556 since it was $179/case. I stocked up over twenty years back, since I can’t use fmj for hunting, well my grandkids grandkids will probably still be shooting the stuff off long after I have left this good earth. Funny thing is at the time I was buying case after case,(late 80’s, early 90s) the wifey thought I had lost my mind; she doesn’t any more and never a peep outta her when I find reloading supplies on sale; no joke. One of the few things I did right in life, ha ha.

I paid 19.99 repeatedly, but I’ve never seen 10.99. The hollow points are usually a few bucks more though, even for .22LR. Happy (ammo) hunting.

I picked up some Remington 9mm at Walmart yesterday. They had more ammo in stock than they have for the past few months.

"Take a look at gunbroker.com ... there is no ammo shortage ... you can find any brand and caliber you are looking for. The ammo market has been hijacked by ammo dealers who are selling it for 4-5x normal prices. As long as there are people will to pay $800 for 1000 rounds of 9mm ... Dicks, Walmart, et. al. will struggle to get ammo."

This is also my experience. Can find whatever I need online. The real question is how much am I willing to pay for it? Gunbot.net is a good source to monitor for reasonable deals, but if you don't act quickly the lowest priced ammo is out of stock in moments.

Yep. Online sales are killing them.

Bulk Ammo has (my fave) Lake City XM855 Green Tip (5.56 Nato) in stock at a pretty good price.

I didn't see any "pretty good prices." Only price gouging.

I agree with you on this, they are buying 9mm, 40 cal and .223. I don’t understand the lack of other sizes of ammo. It could be that they are buying it as well or putting pressure on the producers. I think more likely we are dealing with greed. One of us should get an importers license and start bringing it in by cargo trailer load. This is stupid.

Some kinds of people prefer to get hysterical and pay several times the producer prices to questionable characters for ammunition and are doing so. I prefer to stock up on popcorn and watch the funny crazy show.

Supplies will be available for far less sooner than most sweating, twitching customers expect. Until then, I’ll keep what was purchased in a more reasonable market in case really needed and postpone getting hunting licenses and attending the collective, looky-loo, social club firing range for a year. No sales until then. Too bad revenues will be down. ;-)

If or when online sales are outlawed by the big push from local store owner constituents everwhere, business will be completely and legally diverted from those store owners. It will be that way, until they shut down—all of them. And there will be plenty of ammunition freely and legally available. Watch the situation, as it unfolds. ;-)

$.89/round isn't what I would call a good price.
