"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
In her speech she certainly strikes me as one who has put away childish things. For this I would absolutely consider her a "woman", if only in the intellectual sense. Anyone described accurately as a "gangbanger" has likely not put aside childish things and justly retains the moniker "child". Clearly there is a difference between intellectual age and physical age.

‘young woman’ is commonly used for teens considered mature and it would have served the author better in the title.
The average reader will see a title ‘15 year old woman’ and ask ‘what?’
