Bill Mahers recent comments about taxes, the Iraq War and Mayor Mike Bloombergs proposed soda ban have caused some on the right to question whether the Real Time host is slowly drifting over to their side. Maher only fueled those suspicions when Jimmy Kimmel asked him about Bloomberg efforts to protect us from carbonated beverages last night.
Maher went off on Bloomberg much in the same way he did on his HBO show several weeks ago. I think it gives liberals a bad name, he said. It makes liberals look like bullies who want to tell people what to do, adding, they never met a regulation they didnt like. While he can admit that America has a problem with childhood obesity, he believes Bloomberg went about his plan all wrong.
We dont want to be a nanny state like this, Maher asserted. I dont know what Mayor Bloomberg has in mind, but theres something wrong about the seventh richest man in the world sitting in bed at night thinking, you know what people shouldnt do? Drink too much Sprite.
The kicker came at the end of Mahers interview when he said that Bloombergs soda ban makes me want to join the Tea Party and marry Ann Coulter. And thats not where I want to be.

Exactly, Bill! It makes libs look like bullies that would - oh, I dunno - tell people they have to buy health insurance, or tell people they have to buy the curly-q mercury-slathered light bulbs, and the low-flush toilets. Or tell people they have to pay for a wealthy Georgetown law student's birth control pills. Or tell people they have to join a union in order to work. Yeah, wouldn't want to give folks the impression that liberals would bully people around. No siree.
Well?
95% of RATs make the rest of the liberals look bad.
Even other liberals are getting sick of Bloomturd.
"It makes liberals look like bullies"???? I think the proper words are "It exposes liberals as the complete bullies they are". The difference between liberals, socialists and communists is the amount of blood they are willing to get on their hands to get their way.
Thanks for the ping!
