Bill Maher‘s recent comments about taxes, the Iraq War and Mayor Mike Bloomberg‘s proposed soda ban have caused some on the right to question whether the Real Time host is slowly drifting over to their side. Maher only fueled those suspicions when Jimmy Kimmel asked him about Bloomberg “efforts to protect us from carbonated beverages” last night.
Maher went off on Bloomberg much in the same way he did on his HBO show several weeks ago. “I think it gives liberals a bad name,” he said. “It makes liberals look like bullies who want to tell people what to do,” adding, “they never met a regulation they didn’t like.” While he can admit that America has a “problem with childhood obesity,” he believes Bloomberg went about his plan all wrong.
“We don’t want to be a nanny state like this,” Maher asserted. “I don’t know what Mayor Bloomberg has in mind, but there’s something wrong about the seventh richest man in the world sitting in bed at night thinking, ‘you know what people shouldn’t do? Drink too much Sprite.’”
The kicker came at the end of Maher’s interview when he said that Bloomberg’s soda ban “makes me want to join the Tea Party and marry Ann Coulter. And that’s not where I want to be.”

Not to let Der Fuhrer Bloomturd off the hook, but what makes liberals look like that is the fact that they're bullies who want to tell people what to do. I mean seriously, this guy comments on politics but he hasn't bothered to notice any of it for the last six decades??

I watched him on Kimmel. He is one of the most vile souls I have ever witnessed. The scary part was when the audience didn’t laugh or applaud his vileness, He would push them to agree..and sheeple and idiots that they are, they acquiesced
