If missile defense works, then nobody is going to ever question why we are spending money on it ever again.

If it doesn’t, we’ll lose DC maybe, or another single US city, and at that point the gloves are off and we can retaliate accordingly.

It’ll shut the doves up for four years or so.

DC is the most liberal region in America by an third more. Lose it and America becomes a center-right nation again.

Personally, if the Norks were to somehow nuke DC and say San Francisco, I’d be in favor of pinning a medal on them for dealing with nests of america haters.

The trouble is our radar has a big hole in it, and all the North Korean and Iranian launches have been designed to exploit that big hole.

The talk of small cutting-edge nukes fits exactly what this expert is saying. It also fits what Ahmadinejad has been smugly saying about the US going down within the next year or two.

We’re talking about a *super* EMP that would destroy not only the 60 million that the US government estimated within the first 6 months but 200 million. If the US military has equipment that is designed to survive this kind of attack, it would make sense that DHS is bringing in military equipment and buying body bags and caskets, and lots and lots of ammunition.

I’ve been fearing there would be a massive attack of some kind; didn’t know whether it would be financial, EMP, or biological WMD’s. Who knows, could be all of them. I was thinking of an Iranian EMP launched from Venezuela, but it sounds like neither Iran nor North Korea NEED a launch site any more, if I’m understanding correctly. There’s a small package in orbit somewhere, that could be activated and directed right at the middle of the US; the first any of us would know about it would be when the lights go out and no electronics work.

Yup, those willie nillie liberals won't have any jutification for protesting against any new missile defense system and the player in chief who is trying act like a president won't have any arguement to cut any funding for a missile defense.

However ? I would go farther than that.
Suppose one of Nork the Dork's missle ( The currect video game player Kim Gone really Ill ) were to actually get up in space and just fizzal out close to Kaliforna ?

There is no power or even the UN in this world that could condem us for wiping North Korea from the face of this earth because we would have the jusfication to protect and defend ourselves.

Russia and China could cry all they want, but the US would have every right to send our own nuke missile to North Korea.
