Now let the heavens be joyful,
Let earth her song begin:
Let the round world keep triumph,
And all that is therein;
Invisible and visible,
Their notes let all things blend,
For Christ the Lord is risen!
-- Saint John of Damascus

Morning AB, All....

....thank you AB, as always, for doing this thread. If you think we don’t notice, try a Sunday NOT posting it.

Oh....tried that?

I rest my case.

Anyway, Happy Easter to all...the words of “Jesus Christ Is Risen Today” are ear worms in my brain. Sang at Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, last night.

Good Friday was excrutiating.

Two Deacons evidently wanted to serenade us. So they both sang some sort of thank you song...thanking the pope, our elected officials...that sort of thing.

Question one....we had to pray for the Jews.

Now I don’t mind praying for the Jews, not at all. But why just the Jews? We didn’t pray for Muslims, or Presbyterians for that matter.

The bigger issue was there were about twelve different sorts to pray for and each Deacon sang some kind of narrative with each “pray for”.

The absurd thing was those thoughtless Deacons making the congregation kneel and stand with each pray for.

THAT’S 22 KNEELS AND STANDS folks, for an older congregation I might add! Whole thing took about 45 minutes, really a pain.

The in-pew “breaking bread” had instructions that said we could stand the whole time during the prayers but the selfish Deacons were on a roll.

Lookit, maybe cause I had a quadruple bypass and standing and kneeling like that is excrutiating for those of us with compromised circulation.

The Deacons could have given the congregation a choice to stand the whole time and avoid the constant kneeling and stuff.

In fact, our parish Pastor stood the whole time cause he was totally unable to do all that kneeling with his bum leg.

Yeah, I’m mad about it. It was a selfish, thoughtless thing for two show-offs to sing their solos.

Went to Baltimore last week to visit daughter, got some stories on her....my prototype low-information voter, and I say that kindly. Yeah she’s LO-FO but she’s a busy Mom, getting up at 5 in the am to drive husband to work, hoisting young child out of bed, taking her back home, dressing, ready for school, drive to school. Must re-pick up husband at 2 pm. In between she must do what Mom’s do.

She’s not stupid....but she’s Lo-Fo....

I consider Low Information voters as those who have been fooled and don’t have the time, nor the inclination frankly, to find out how they have been fooled.

Awaiting intelligent commentary as always...

As a conservative and not as a Republican, I do not want to hear anything that Chuck U. Shumer, Linda Grahma, Peter King, Cory Booker, Dick Blumenthal or Mark Kelly have to say.

I really don't.

The Sunday shows are just media propaganda every week, and they just keep getting worse, and their litany of perennial guests become more and more scripted, expected and strident, and it is just unwatchable.

On Easter Sunday, it's nice to have the Cardinals, but I'm sure they'll be asked about the Pope Francis washing girls’ feet, and gay marriage, and basically opposed on things conservative and scripturally sound...

If this thread gets to 100 posts today I'll be surprised!

Happy Easter All!

It’s another great sunny Sunday and temps in...THE 50S!

I’ll be outside today, enjoying the nice break from the drudgery of Winter (appropriately Easter-like)

Thanks for the thread and ping AB.

FOX NEWS SUNDAY: Cardinal Donald Wuerl, archbishop of Washington, D.C.

So, is this guy a real Catholic...or "one of Them"?

Mark Kelly: “40% of all purchases of guns don’t have background check”.

Liar! That’s a bogus number that includes grandpa giving little Billy his shotgun.

Chris Wallace is a dumb MFer!

The left is busy chipping away at the mortar of society, and with many on the right now helping out, don’t be surprised when all the bricks fall.

Not one question to Mr. Kelly regarding his illegal attempt to purchase a weapon for a third party. He admitted such in an interview in Tucson the other day. The gun store salesman cancelled the sale. He should have notified the authorities about this travesty of justice but I guess refusing the sale is enough. I wonder if Kelly has sought to purchase The weapon elsewhere?

Kelly is nothing more or less than an opportunistic sleazeball who is trying to cash in on his wife’s sad misfortune. She deserves better, IMHO.
