You think Your Mass was a trip? ha!

I had an India Indian priest today on Easter.. we could hardly understand ..ok, so far, no problem.

Then ON EASTER he ends the homily with a joke....( an old joke):
{ family takes a trip to Jerusalem, takes the mother-in-law, everyone. Mother in law dies on the trip in Jersualem. The husband asks the american embassy how to ship MIL ‘body back to the US and told its very expensive, most people just bury the person in Israel. Husband says, “no, I don’t care what it costs. There was guy here 2000 yrs ago who was buried here and he came back alive, I don’t want to take a chance.” }

No one laughed. On Easter.
WTF????

I read on another thread that it’s very suspicious that after some 20+ years in the military....I dunno what branch he’s in...he should be more than a captain.

Commenter asserted that if he performed even normally he should be a colonel rank. I know not much about it but I do know there’s something about that guy that smells.

Well selling your soul for your brain-damaged wife, putting her on display like some of doll....that’s not very nice.

But he’s got some evil going on around him, that’s what I sense.

I speak of Mark Kelly the beloved astronut turned gun grabber for those who came in late.

I got so I was praying just for it all to end.

Deacon what planned this...there’s a story behind it.

I like to call it “The Deacon’s Wife.”

She’s a very pretty woman and dresses very nice. She’s very showy and owns a mink or two. It’s the sort of thing old church people whisper about behind opened palms.

I don’t know her that well except once I so admired a sweater she wore that I asked its origin. Turned out to be some outoftheway online site, goodness she sent me the link and everything.

They have a granddaughter who does a scripture reading on the monthly teen mass. She too is a lovely child but in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost she walked up to the nave one Sunday and you could see her butt cheeks, dear Lord it was sad.

Why on earth did she wear a skirt THAT short and why on earth didn’t her grandparents STOP HER?

So this Deacon with the fancy wife and shameless granddaughter also thinks he can sing.

Well he can sing but American Idol need not panic. But he desperately wants to be choir director for, as he always tells us during mass, he was once a choir director.

Our REAL choir director swears this Deacon hates him, something I find a bit extreme of an assessment but supposedly the Deacon tells the priest things and the priest takes it out on the choir director....I dunno...it goes on and on.

The Deacons, when they are there, DO plan the masses. So I’m thinking Mr. Former Choir Director thought it would be cool to have us kneel and stand 24 times in a row as he serenaded with his beautiful vocal.

This happened on Good Friday and I was only there cause the choir had to sing. I’d sung on Holy Thursday and Easter Vigil, or course.

But I was weary.

Then we had the veneration of the cross and that’s not like communion. There is only ONE cross in the church and the entire church must line up to kneel before it/kiss it.

THAT takes a lot of time but the choir does sing during the veneration to fill the time and one of our members performs a beautiful song called “He Was De-Spi-Sed”...a haunting song and she does really have a beautiful voice.

This mass took two hours but I got to hear the Deacon sing and I am a better person for it.

;)

LOL! Very timely for Easter....sounds like the Easter Bunny hopping.

It used to be very limited times and everyone knew and no one had to be told when to knell and stand....

I find that Every Sunday I get another lesson in patience and not judging.

I sometimes find everything is just fine.
Then other times, I am tested....
“Why can they not pick a song that we could actually sing? where oh where do they get these awful hymns?”

“Why can’t they get the priest’s microphone to work, or just let him talk without one?”

“Maybe I should tell this schmoozing young couple in front of me to just get a motel room.”

” Is it possible a young child age 9 could sit through one hour without a game?”

Guess the Lord is testing my patience. HA!
(ha,,wonder what they are saying about me?)

Before I’m done i want to clarify my remarks about minks mentioned upthread.

I have no problem with minks in a coat.

In fact, given their nasty nature and having meat not worth the bother, in a coat is the best place for a mink.

I’m jus’ sayin’.

If gay “marriage” becomes the law of the land...it’s open season on religion as a whole.

Expect the Libs to start saying that 2,000 years of Christian history and teaching is nothing more than a lie and a hate crime.

They're already starting. Matthew Dowd on ABC this morning said the traditional view of marriage for the last 2000 years has been that women were property, different races couldn’t marry, and they weren't based on monogamy. IOW, Christians view of air quote traditional air quote marriage SUCKS.

lol, Fishtalk, you crack me up. Regarding garlic: the garlic bulb is made up of cloves. Just peal enough of the papery "stuff" to get at the cloves. Then peal the clove itself which is covered with a harder shell. (cutting off the tips helps). I dice the cloves. Some people use a garlic press. Garlic is supposed to be an anti-inflammatory food. It's good for your heart as well. More benefits of Garlic

A few ot comments. Garlic and onions (fresh and organic) are two of the healthiest foods you can eat due to their high “allicin” content.. Anti bacterial, anti inflammatory etc. do your own homework. Ceramic pans made in China are full of suspect chemicals that “leach” into your food. Yech. Read “Wheat Belly” and lastly Pat, if you go with glassstops you need to use only the pans that they recommend. Stainless Cuisinarts for one, never use SOS or scrubby sponges, brushes or dishwashers. The pits on the pans will scratch your glasstop.
Happy Easter to everyone, catholic faith needs to knock off this social justice crap and stop changing responses.
I think that’s it.

Not one question to Mr. Kelly regarding his illegal attempt to purchase a weapon for a third party. He admitted such in an interview in Tucson the other day. The gun store salesman cancelled the sale. He should have notified the authorities about this travesty of justice but I guess refusing the sale is enough. I wonder if Kelly has sought to purchase The weapon elsewhere?

Kelly is nothing more or less than an opportunistic sleazeball who is trying to cash in on his wife’s sad misfortune. She deserves better, IMHO.
