During an appearance on MSNBC this morning, Congressman Charlie Rangel was asked what he thought about the assault weapons ban being dropped from Senate bill. Rangel blamed the defeat on politics and money and then made the extraordinary claim that "millions of kids" are dying because they are "being shot down by assault weapons." Isn't he the African Einstein who claimed that sharks still search the Atlantic routes used by the slave trading ships of the 17th century?
I thought he was in jail anyway.

This kind of absurd lie hurts the gun-grabbers credibility. Most sentient people know full well that millions of children are not being killed by assault weapons. This kind of hyperbole simply turns people off because it's so ridiculous. But then, so is the fact that Rangel is still not in jail, but in congress.
