Palin Electrifies CPAC Crowd
Town Hall ^ | Mar. 16, 2013 | Katie Pavlich

Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin repeatedly brought a jam packed crowd to its feet during her speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday.

Palin covered everything from overpaid Washington D.C. consultants, gun control and crony capitalism to New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s recently shot down big gulp ban.

As Townhall readers know, elections are always on our minds and the next one was on Palin’s mind today as she advocated for an outside-the-beltway approach to the future.

“The next election is 20 months away, now is the time to toss the consultants,” Palin said while getting a dig in at Karl Rove. “The last thing we need is Washington D.C. vetting our candidates.”

As expected, Palin slammed President Obama for his never ending campaign just as she has done on her Facebook page over the past few months.

“The election came and went but the campaign never stopped,” Palin said. “Mr. President, we get it, you won. Accept it. Now step away from the teleprompter and do your job.”

Gun control and the Obama administration push for more criminalization of law abiding citizens was also covered.

“Background checks Mr. President? Should have started with yours,” Palin said about gun control. “Imagine leadership that respects the Second Amendment to Constitution.”

Palin also touched on crony capitalism, an issue she took on during her time in Alaska as governor.

“Whenever government expands, it’s the well connected who benefit,” Palin said. “There’s a big difference between being pro-business and pro-free market.....It’s time to break up the cronyism.”

“My only advice to college Republicans, because I’m a mama, is you gotta be thinkin’ Sam Adams not drinkin’ Sam Adams,” Palin said adding, “It’s imperative to reach out and share that conservative message of liberty.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who is CPAC’s keynote speaker, helped introduce Palin and reminded the crowd and the media about her support for Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley and himself when they were only candidates.

“I would not be in the United States Senate if it wasn’t for Sarah Palin,” Cruz said.

She certainly does have her finger on the pulse of conservative America. Thank you, Mrs. Palin for a job well done.

By mistake I happened to click on MSNBC and they were commenting On Sarah's speech. I watched about 20 seconds. In that time the panel agreed that nobody likes her, she has zero approval percentage points, and is completely out of touch with reality and the Republican Party.

Just thought I would let you know in light of this article.

Now I have to go cleanse my eyes and ears. Excuse me.

The consultants and media are all in cahoots with each other on how to continue their personal enrichment. It’s just meant to be theatre for us. Most fall for it.

Surprised to see that Priebius of the RNC is speaking at CPAC. What the heck is he doing there? Will he be booed?

Been watching all morning ...The moderator in the light blue sweater should have gotten the hook after the first time he opened his mouth.

If only the stock market was so easy to predict.

A post or two about Palin never fails to bring out responses from the twisted PDSers. It’s kinda like that smile on a baby’s face when you instantly recognize that he just pooped it’s diapers.

Yes, they’re cute, but you know they are full of sh!t.

“I would not be in the United States Senate if it wasn’t for Sarah Palin,” Cruz said.

If it were not for Palin, McStupid would not likely be in the Senate smearing Cruz for talking about constitutional freedom. That would be the lone territory of DNC Marxists.

FYI. Here’s Palin slaming the Muslim Brotherhood in a CPAC speech.

FYI...as I told you YESTERDAY, I NEVER said individual speakers didn’t mention Islam, etc. The LEADERS of CPAC would not allow ANY discussion of THEIR association with radical Islam and Khan. THey BANNED the usual speakers...Horowitz, Spencer (the guy CPAC attendees voted best blog!), Geller. STOP misrepresenting my words.
Some of you really sound like democrat operatives. You can’t change the truth with your propaganda.

You go ahead and defend CPAC. They are the enemy within, and I can only conclude you are part of them.

It's an incestuous relationship. Consultants feed inside info to favored reporters in exchange for favorable coverage (or at least negative coverage on the people the consultants hate).

—— the panel agreed that nobody likes her, she has zero approval percentage points, and is completely out of touch with reality and the Republican Party. -——

And NOBODY in school likes her.

They’re worse than a Jr. high clique.

All personal attacks. Pathetic.

We counter this by ridiculing Zippy just as Sarah did today, with wit and substance.
