The reason Cornyn has been voting with Cruz so much is that he wants to make sure Cruz doesn’t seek an alternative candidate for 2014 for the Cornyn seat. It’s all a sham though. If there is to be an alternative candidate, he must be found within the next six months. Wait until 2015, when Cornyn resumes his lurch to the left. John Tower used to vote conservative two years before his elections too; it’s a trick TX Republicans cannot grasp.

A senator can’t be recalled, and certainly AZ still adores him.

Yes, agree completely. It was a tongue in cheek statement about Cornyn. Cornyn and Tower have very similar "conservative voting" lurches!

I hope a good conservative turns up to run against Cornyn, within the next six months. (Maybe Michael Williams?)

The U.S. Senate does not recognize recall of its members regardles off what a state might do.

A state can recall a US senator regardless what the US senate believes. No where in the US Constitution does it say that a US state senator cannot be recalled, and since Constitution doesn’t say, the 10th Amendment reserves that right to recall McCain, which is granted to the people of Arizona.
