Sounds like a woman who loves her son and is very responsible.
If I were “Cheaper Than Dirt” (a great outfit BTW) I would make certain no more catalogs were sent.
Let’s send a few prayers up for this good mother and her afflicted son.
Sounds like her kid was sending in multiple catalog requests which is why it was not a simple matter to stop delivery.
We *Nutmeggers* [along w/ the rest of the world] are still awaiting the *report* of the Newtown incident. We’re about to be slammed with all sorts of gun control nonsense this month.
Without any analysis if the Newtown killer’s motives, I’ll take this mother’s *concerns* with a grain of salt. She said she had been successful in keeping the catalogs away from her son. She should continue to monitor. No one said this was easy.
Given the state has eliminated facilities for the mentally ill, released to the streets 3K convicted felons on early release from state prisons...one notion is that parents/care givers of the mentally ill actually hide their subjects from public view for a variety of reasons.
It’s true that families find it difficult to get mental health care for the people who desperately need it. We need reform in mental health care more than gun control.
Sounds like the best response yet, Bobalu. I can’t fault her for not wanting to raise a monster, and if she thinks there could be a problem, she knows her kid better than anyone else.
Yes I agree. If this were a company mailing porn to this kid you’d see the same posters taking the other side of the argument.
