my parents and their parents and certainly my husband and I have never had it handed to them...no free camps...no free food...no free college...no nothing....

dad worked a steady low paying job and worked two part time jobs to bring in extra money...my mother in her "spare" time picked apples while raising 6 kids....and helped my father with his extra jobs too...

my husband and I have never ever rec'd big money or bonuses or lawyered money nor had free college for our kids or any thing given to us..our jobs are steady, our work hard, but that is the white way I guess....its the immigrant/farm heritage...

Your story should give you pride in your achievements something the affirmative action types will NEVER experience.

I am still questioning if funding my daughter’s education to prevent the student load albatross was the right thing to do.

She was able to get into college even though there were “set asides” for those who did not qualify except for their skin color.
