Thanks very much, Kathy!

And thanks very much to you and Lauren for tonights Road Trip to Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia! I was stationed there from June 1968 until February 1969, where I was Senior Corpsman on the Surgical Ward at USNH Quantico. I had a memorable tour there - met some outstanding Marines, both on my ward and on the base.
I was an early denizen of the Globe & Laurel Restaurant, established in 1968 by Maj. Rick Spooner, USMC. It's now a world-famous establishment. No longer located in Q-Town, it's now just outside the South Gate to the Base. I spent many a pleasant evening there with my colleagues. We often closed the place down and staggered back to our barracks - about a mile away.
Coming aboard as we speak. Rendering Hand Salutes to our National Colors and to the Officer of the Deck!
