I was at the check-out in Kroger the other day, behind a woman “paying” for her groceries with a welfare check (WIC) and an EBT card (welfare). She had on nice brand-name clothes, jewelry, a nice cell phone, expensive shoes, etc. I looked like a bag lady compared to her! guess I have to go work to pay for her groceries. P_ssed me off!

Good thing you didn't see what kind of car she was driving.

That’s waaaay more than we live on. Good thing I know how to scrimp and remake my old clothes. Just finished sewing Christmas presents since I can’t afford to waste money. And am currently turning a pair of old pants into shorts and making a garden tote bag from unwearable ratty jeans, and have ideas on turning a stack of fabric samples into a quilt - all without spending a dime. But hey, so happy that woman can afford name-brand clothes and a fancy cell phone on my tax dollars. BTW, my cell phone is an old plain jane that does nothing but phone calls and is on a limited minutes of $5/mo.
