Scarborough: Ted Cruz Acting 'Like Carnival Barker'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/18/2013 7:32:47 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

The trashing of Ted Cruz continues apace in the bien-pensant MSM. From the New York Times, to the Washington Post, to Politico and elsewhere, the liberal media has the new Republican Senator from Texas in its sights.

Joe Scarborough is clearly camped out on the Cruz-bashing bandwagon. Earlier this month, so offended was the sensitive Scarborough by Cruz that he wouldn't deign to mention him by name. Today, not to be outdone by Frank Bruni, who called Cruz "an ornery, swaggering piece of work," Scarborough declared that Cruz acts like "a carnival barker at a Republican event."

Scarborough is an over-weight, under-talented sell-out to the Left. He’s not fit to polish Sen. Cruz’s boots.

Scarborough is a thumb-sucking, bed-wetter whose “opinion” is worth squat.

Senator Cruz is doing exactly what he said he would do and I am very proud to have him in the United States Senate. I pray that we can find a few more just like him in 2014.

You bet he’s doing something right, he’s doing what we sent him there to do, hope he’s able to stay on track because the MSM/’rats/RINOS are going to be trying to make him into Joe McCarthy.

It’s amazing how fast and furiously the MSM and the GOP establishment has moved into “Cruz Control” mode.

I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed an attack more concerted, or perhaps I’m just becoming more aware of the tactics.

Ted Cruz isn't "playing ball". The D.C. establishment via the media displays their self righteous contempt. Yawn.

To paraphrase that great SNL music producer, Bruce Dickinson- "What D.C. needs is MORE TED CRUZ!!"

We haven't got in the situation we are in overnight. It took lawmakers who are vastly senior to him to do it. That is the problem with the Republican Party. Maintain the status quo. I'm a geezer and seniority means squat to me if you're not getting us out of this mess.

'Ornery'...that's a liberal code word for "he has testosterone".
We all know that testosterone needs to be removed from the planet.

'Swaggering', the motion of a confident person who has not been beaten down to a sniveling, sad-sack of a puppet.

With a little time and work, they will make him conform to the national socialist dictatorship or he will be gone.

This is the real state of the union. You are welcome.

And this is coming from the little xxxxk who had to resign from the House because a young woman he was having an affair with was found dead in his office.

The young woman apparently tripped and cracked her head open on a desk... Happens all the time, doesn't it? Nevertheless he felt it necessary to resign.

BTW McCarthy was PROVEN CORRECT!

So Scarborough....

If Sen.Cruz --- duly elected, sworn and seated in the upper chamber is a carnie barker...

What does that make YOU!!

....working the coffee hour for a fringe-media freak-show...

Take a look in the mirror...

Once upon a time....
You had a seat-- and a vote, Joe...
....what happened to THAT??

Time to shut your pie-hole until you discover something intelligent and relevant to say...
Just in case... someday.... maybe...

...Deserve a measure of respect? We’re 16 trillion in the hole and counting, we have an illegal occupant in the White House who is doing an end around Congress and it’s oversight, and illegally traded weapons to foreign drug cartels and islamic militants. I say these senior Senators deserve to be reomoved from their positions and all Congressional benefits be revoked.

The day people like Scarborough start praising him is the day its time to bring him home.

We’re trying to get rid of the “senior senators”. We don’t want him to defer to them. If he was going to defer to them, there was no point in electing him.

MSNBC has ridden on the back of “Republican” Joe Scarborough out of necessity. Now, they have to run the banner along the bottom of the show, Former GOP member of the House of
Representatives because any viewer can see that he is no different than Mika. They may wear the same dresses as far as we know.

With a little time and work, they will make him conform to the national socialist dictatorship or he will be gone.

As long as Ted Cruz stays loyal to the people of Texas that elected him, he will be Senator for as long as he wants to be our Senator from Texas.

The media does not like Senator Cruz. The media is horrified of the concept of a President Cruz. This is what this is all about.

The GOP needs many more fearless attack dogs like Sens. Cruz and Paul.

The more there are, the harder it will be to target and bring down one at a time.

It would be great to have a couple dozen or more tag teaming each other.

And while we're on the subject of "respect," how are we supposed to respect the likes of Al Franken or Barbara Boxer? Seriously.

It's like being asked to "respect" 200 lb. steaming piles of dung. Just because a 200 lb. pile of dung calls itself "Senator" doesn't mean I'm automatically bound to "respect" said pile. Sheesh.

"The media is horrified of the concept of a President Cruz."

I just took a quit looksee at your Senator. Not that any sane person would want to be President after the Obama devastation, but if Cruz has a sense of humor..he could win it all.

That and he needs the support of libertarian leaning Rand Paul or Sarah Palin to shake the severely damaged "R" label.

"R" just means Dem puppet/sell-out to me now.
