I don't think our side will get any traction on immigration until we have all three branches of govt. as Republicans,even then it won't be easy. If there is an immigration bill this year when its all said and done zero will simply EO whatever he does not get from Congress.

We had the WH and Congress under Bush and he pushed for amnesty against the wishes of his own party.
I think Obama wants the issue more than getting something done. He hopes immigration reform is defeated so it can be used in the 2014 midterms to defeat the Reps and gain control back over the House. Then it is clear sailing for the Dems for perhaps generations. I have no doubt that the Dems will win the WH in 2016.
