My personal favorite is "Gone With the Wind". This scene never fails to choke me up as the camera rises and pans the entire railyard.

I'm slaving away at Stephen Foster's music, and I should have it ready for tomorrow and Saturday. That man was a prolific writer!

Oh Yes...that is an amazing bit of cinematography! And the background music is Stephen Foster’s ‘Old Folks at Home” transposed to the minor and slowed down. Very Effective!

My little piano students really like Foster’s music. I did some simple arrangements of his songs, and then encourage them to add grace notes and a little syncopation to “Jazz them up Since “Old Folks At Home” (Swanee River) is our State Song, the kids all want to be the ONE who plays it in the Recital!
