NO body has been recovered; the scene is too hot for officers to enter. Therefore, reports that that a body has been recovered and identified are INCORRECT. PD spokesman says his info comes directly from sheriff’s office.
LAPD still maintaining tactical alert and protecting possible Dorner targets.

LAPD stepped on San Berdo Sheriff by announcing the body was found and confirmed to be Dorner.
They had to retract it because the San Berdo Sheriff wanted to break the news first and he was really pissed that LAPD announced it first..
