I agree. It reads like fiction. The “character” does not exhibit the personality traits of a Seal IMO...

And the startling failure of the United States government to help its most experienced and skilled warriors carry on with their lives.
I spent 3 years in the Marines and 13 months in combat in VN. My father was a WWII Marine in the Pacific; my FIL fought in the ETO during WWII.
None of us had a clue it was the gubmint's job to help us "carry-on" with our post-military lives, let alone provide a retirement w/ healthcare.
I suggest this guy go out and get a job.
