I heard some unfavorable things about her. I guess in today's era if National Security and Executive appointments disaster that we are living in, we could do worse.

At least she has some understanding of military life. Her husband retired as an 0-6 in the Navy Reserves and was the Veterans Administration Secretary.

Hagel is simply 'not all there.' I don't know if it is mental illness, alcohol, or what. But something is definitely not right with him. I feel sorry for him.

If it is Michèle Flournoy, everyone in the press and in the DoD is going to have to practice typing their little French accents over their "è" when spelling her first name, because I heard she will pitch a conniption fit about that.

What I wonder if is she will actually want to lead the DoD and defend it from the current budgetary assault it is under, or participate in the mauling herself and destroy it even faster.

If she is the new nominee, only time will tell.

I know one thing for sure, the Senate never wants to be seen "beating up" on a woman. It took Benghazi and 4 dead Americans before they even dared to question Hillary, and even then it was a love fest.

Flournoy would simply have to show up for the confirmation hearing and watch her feet being kissed.
