Guys who drive a lot are generally very good at parking neatly and quickly. Your expectation that real cops park like Hollywood cops are foolish and naive.
You are right. They actually are very cautious of how they park in these situations, especially emergency situations. This is because they don’t want their vehicle to be another obstacle for further emergency vehicles. There is a lot of training and practice on even simple things like parking.

Why would you want to park your car neatly in a parking space in the first place.
You might need it for cover.
Especially if you were being SHOT AT as the State Police are investigating.
Have you never seen footage of a crime scene where the cops use their car as cover???? How many times do they neatly park cars as they are dealing with an active shooter in a mass murder.
It’s ridiculous.
Of course, these are the same cops that Uncle Chip is claiming threw important evidence out onto the ground in front of the vehicle before then went in to subdue him.
