He is trying to use agitprop, and a murder and intimidation campaign (terrorist favorite) to goad the LAPD into acting. Any move they try to make against him will be flipped back as excessive use of force.....to "prove" his point; and hopefully garner more sympathy/support - it will be a demonstration of sorts that the LAPD infringes upon civil rights (increased traffic stops, checkpoints, dragnets, etc).

From his manifesto: "KMA-367 license plate frames are great target indicators and make target selection even easier...I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty."

KMA-367 was the official Federal Communications Commission (FCC) call sign for Los Angeles Police Department radio transmitters from 1948 through the 1980s. Those driving around with these license plate holders are associated with the LAPD.

My husband and neighbor (retired sheriff) said same & think he’s long gone..he had plenty of time to get down the mountain. The truck could be a diversion plus snowstorm hitting tonight.

My husband happened to be out in the Riverside area today & witnessed 2 massive Fed/SWAT convoys. Said there were police at every intersection. They want this guy bad..

Ya...Known that since I was in grade school...

Trust me, there are those who belong who’d never be so stupid as to display that. Not all bad guys are stupid...

BTW, there are newer assigned calls signs for other division frequencies, but are still a dead give away for those who know.

Big Bear (where Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski areas are located) will be in the teens and/or snowing tonight.

Wonder if some are going to take this opportunity to shoot police hoping Dorner gets the blame?

Not going to side with the suspect, he has committed murder and society has to deal with him as such now.

However, his manifesto is not what some here are characterizing it as. It is sane and fairly coherent in laying out a long string of deep corruption.

If the LAPD cares at all about the public wondering if these brutal accusations should be looked into, they have already left us all having to work really hard to trust their integrity by trying to gun down three innocent people in two separate incidents already in their hunt for the killer.

They didn’t ID their targets before shooting, and they were obviously not in a deadly confrontation either time. So why are they ignoring the law, justice and their jobs and simply shooting to kill by putting literally dozens of bullet holes into the back of a pickup and blatantly attempting to kill both driver and passenger without even realizing they were both women (and clearly not their male suspect) first?

Because they want this guy dead, and any potential accomplice or witness dead. No trial, no loose ends. Just dead.

And that’s supposed to make us TRUST?

Two of these three unrelated innocent people were actually hit by bullets. One in the back and one in the hand. Go look at the pictures of the back of the pickup truck the women were in... they should be dead. So should any innocents that were downrange of that hail of gunfire. Any of us would go to jail forever for pouring any gunfire let alone all of that at an UNKNOWN FLEEING SUSPECT THAT DID NOT TRY TO HARM US. Pure grace of God those women are alive. They will own half of LA by the time the court case is settled. And rightly so.

Something is really, terribly smelly wrong with BOTH sides of this case.

Honor Our Heroes / Uniform Days

Law Enforcement, EMS, Firefighters & Active Military, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit would like to invite you to take advantage of Honor Our Heros/Uniform Days on the following dates: January 9 & 10, 2013; February 6 & 7, 2013

He could be going after the ski lifts. Either using a .50 cal (which he claimed to have) to go after the structure(s) or supports; or any rifle to pick off people hanging on the wires.

No hail of bullets yet . . . this guy has really gotten the psychological advantage here. Every cop wants to find him but also no cop wants to find him.

I don't think he'll do that. I think this is a diversion - his goal is probably still LAPD officers.

Let's assume that he is fairly smart.

An attempt to steal a boat in San Diego and a deliberate truck fire in Big Bear - 150 miles apart - do two things: (1) it makes the police wonder whether he really wants to kill more or to get away more and (2) it really broadens the search area to an unmanageable size.

In the meantime, he can sneak back into LA. In the LA area, there are roughly two million people who feel the same way about the LAPD as he now does. These people also have a "stop snitching" code that can aid him. He also blends in well.

Every cop on patrol in those areas is now a potential target.

No doubt what you say is true. However I would like to add that the cops that shot up innocent people just because they had a look alike vehicle. Those cops are not one bit better than this guy. Not one Bit! They deserve the exact same fate.

Let me clarify something I just said.

They deserve the exact same fate as the guy they are hunting, because they are just like him.

"... Let's assume that he is fairly smart. [scenarios follow]"

My turn.

Let's assume this cretin is a delusionally narcissistic pussywillow.

As a US Navy reserve officer, he was bounced around from unit to unit -- washing out of flight officer candidate school -- and ultimately served a year in Kuwait guarding an offshore oil derrick which seems like a perfect spot to plant a screwball malcontent in a remote area in order to ensure that they can do little harm. After being non-recommended for promotion twice on his fitness reports, the Navy finally terminated his commission after first bouncing him around US Navy Reserve units in remote areas of Nevada while Dorner sought to enter the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Dorner's only been an LAPD patrol officer for a scant measure of months after being initially held back in the police academy for shooting himself in the hand. He'd reportedly been seen crying in his patrol car and demanding to be retrained at the same academy where he allegedly witnessed the unlikely scene of Hitler Youth songs being sung by the cadets. His female training officer and partner recommended that he be taken off patrol duty, to which Dorner filed a false brutality claim against her that was corroborated by none of the many witnesses at the scene of the alleged incident. The LAPD rifled him through five review boards and a state court prior to his dismissal for the false brutality claim then fired his ass for cause and conduct unbecoming a policeman. Overall, he'd only actually been on the street as an LAPD patrol officer for about ten two-week pay periods, and that was over five years ago.

Married only for a short time, then divorced by his wife even faster when she publically identified him as emotionally unstable, he lost not one but two homes in defaulted mortgages.

Ever since his idiotic world fell apart, he's been glued to MSNBC, celebrity television, the Internet, and stuffing his face with Ding Dongs and Ho-Hos. Hell, for all we know it really could be that the Hostess® snack cake company going belly-up is what "set him off".

The media has been deliriously elated about portraying this fat faggot as some kind of real-life Rambo, seething with revenge, who has concocted a master plan after perhaps, just perhaps, justifiably been the victim of racism, prejudice, and the LAPD's code of silence.

So last weekend he naturally murders the daughter of the lawyer he was appointed during his termination appeal, her boyfriend. After the homicide detectives there identify Dorner as their suspect, he attempts to kill several other LEOs in two total incidents spread a few minutes apart in the early hours of yesterday morning. One, a Riverside CA policeman, is killed and his partner wounded.

I don't think he's got a plan at all, and is certainly no highly skilled killing machine but instead the biggest perfumed pansy poser in Internet 'tough guy' history.

I have no idea what he's doing right now, but I'm leaning more towards 'holed up somewhere, crying over his predicament, and rocking back and forth awaiting the inevitable conclusion where he dies from bullet wounds'.

There is no state bordering California for a 315 pound black man who looks like LL Cool J to hide for very long. I don't see this manhunt lasting very long at all, but I suppose that I could be surprised.

“In Torrance, LAPD officers guarding one of Dorner’s alleged targets mistakenly opened fire on a blue pickup truck that resembled one Dorner was thought to be driving, said Los Angeles police Chief Charlie Beck.

The gunfire left two people wounded, Beck said. Torrance police also fired on another blue pickup, but no one was injured in that incident, according to a senior law enforcement source.”

Appears one “unnecessary evil” has generated another “unnecessary evil” action(s) by the LA police. More “shoot first, concoct answers later”?

The FBI severed ties with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) several years ago, citing connections to terrorist groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is charting a decidedly different course—embracing and commending CAIR—and several Christian leaders in southern California are blowing the whistle. L.A. County Sheriff Leroy Baca praised CAIR during a video message sent to the organization, thanking its members for their friendship and commending them for their exceptional representation of the Muslim community in America.
