This just goes to show that even if one has been in the military and is an entertainer ( of any kind ) that doesn’t mean that they have a grasp of reality.
One’s military service no matter how decorated does not render one’s public statements on politics as immune to criticism or disagreement.
I’m a Vietnam vet, nothing I say about anything is sacrosanct, what makes Tony Bennett or Chuck Hagel so special?
Foreign invasion to take away our guns? Does the WWII vet not remember Admiral Yamamoto’s observation that an invader would face “a rifle behind every blade of grass”? Yamamoto spoke from years of having lived & studied in America.
Geez, Tony makes Harry Belafonte seem almost rational.
