To: Uncle Chip
That seems strange to me. Maybe, maybe not. Why would you need a warrent to search someones premises or vehicle who is dead? The Honda was at the scene. It was already searched, correct? So then they had to get a warrent to search it again?

I do not believe the car was searched as the incident was going down. That’s just Uncle Chip’s excuse. He claims the cops threw evidence over the door and to the front of the car and to the side of the car... thus tainting items of clothing that were clearly evidence.

They may have looked in the car with their eyes.

Someone MIGHT have popped open the trunk to make sure no kid was inside. It would make sense to do that.

But a full blown search - no.
