the flaw in that stance is what constitutes prior knowlege?

Would someone who knew Lanza was on meds and that his mom had guns be found culpable?

I think that’s where the Left wants to go with this. Make examples out of people who may have known things but didn’t put the pieces together, or think that what they knew rose to the level of informing on Lanza or his mom.

Hindsight is always 20/20, right?

Bascally this could be used to set the stage for a situation that encourages people to overreact and turn their friends and neighbors over to the police under less than appropriate circumstances.

It sites “potential suspects”....not witnesses. That is what caught my ear.

And why the heck is it taking so long? Perhaps they are trying to CTA because of info told to them regarding this nutbag?

A potential suspect IS NOT THE SAME as gathering info from witnesses.

“Bascally this could be used to set the stage for a situation that encourages people to overreact and turn their friends and neighbors over to the police under less than appropriate circumstances.”

I don’t think so. If that were the case, they would have been listed as potential witnesses....NOT potential suspects.

In regards to people “overreacting,” the only one, I believe whom would do so are those who take personal responsibility seriously and know that Freedom comes with a high price.

The ones who would/should “overreact” will not react at all.

Hence, this possible case. I say possible because all the facts have not come forth.

Words have meaning. Suspects vs. witnesses are VERY different.
