Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) reportedly announced Saturday that he will support former Sen. Chuck Hagel's (R-Neb.) nomination to become secretary of Defense. The Lincoln Journal Star reported that Johanns would become the second Republican senator to publicly back Hagel's bid, following Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.). Several Republican senators have indicated they will oppose Hagel's nomination on the Senate floor.

can only wonder if there is anybody so incompetent or anti-American or embarrassing that Senators Johanns and Cochran would NOT support them?
just wondering,...
Useless Whig party is useless.
Can Senators be recalled?
Do Johanns and Cochran expect a quid pro quo? From a RINO? Really?
I'm FOR Obama's anti-American nominee!
in a lot of ways i hope Hagel gets the post...maybe this way these foolish Jews who continually vote for the likes of ayataollah obama will start to understand the way things really are...
...noble thought.....but what about the folks in the military who will have to suffer the consequences.... not worth a plug nickel from that point of view....
I’m not surprised that Johanns is pro (or that old bull Cochran) given that’s he’s from Nebraska.
What’s that you say Lady Carnahan voted against Ashcroft? Oh well we can’t be impolite like the dimmies.
That is another one of the double standards. Whenever some supposedly "solid conservative" GOP Senator votes to confirm a marxist from their home state (Johanns for Hagel, Brownback for Selibus, etc.) the excuse from Republicans is that it would be impolite for them to go against a "colleague" from their home state. Yet the RAT Senators have no problem vehemently opposing Republicans from their home state and the media never bats an eyelash.
>> My feeling is, hes doing the right the thing for a change, I dont really care why. Hagel as SecDef= Bill Clinton as Secretary of Moral Values I welcome the support of pro-Israel libtards in working to defeat this pig. <<
Fieldmarshaldj has a good point that liberals against Hagel might actually be opposing him because he's not liberal ENOUGH for them, including Mark Kirk (Kirk had no problem gushing over anti-American nominees from Obama that were much worse than Hagel!) I remember similar actions when several RAT Senators were actually opposing RINOs Christie Todd Whitman and Gale Norton because they weren't liberal ENOUGH for envirowackos.I wish some Republicans Senators had joined the RATs in opposing those nominees, regardless of how screwed up the RATs motivations were.
Some hardcore libs didn’t like Obamacare cause it wasn’t single payer and they recognized that the individual mandate is fascist bullcrap.
Their “support” was welcome, but in the end all of libs in Congress voted for it after the arm twisting.
