That 11 million number cracks me up. The DNC playing “Fun With Numbers” again. The actual number is probably double that.
Republicans are another story.
“Fox News Channel is uniquely positioned to play a make-or-break role. The question is, will it?”
Yes they are going to help talk you into amnesty.
Fox management and some of its commentators may be for Rubio’s plan, but at least they are putting guests on that disagree — maybe they are “fair and balanced” after all.
While Hannity and O’Riley both interviewed Rubio and have endorsed Rubio’s plan, it was with the stipulation that the border must be closed first; Rubio even said that he would vote against any immigration bill, even his own, that did not put closing the border first.
Obama has rejected any linkage between immigration reform and closinig the border.
A guest last night on O’Riley stated the anti-Rubio position very well. Rubio’s plan is the 1986 plan warmed over — it grants documents to all the “undocumented” the day it is passed, and PROMISES to close the border later. No President has made it a priority to close the border. Congress voted to build a fence, but it hasn’t been built.
Although Rubio says his plan is fair, it is fundamentally unfair to immigrants in Hong Kong, the Phillipines, and Europe — the “undocumented” get to live here because they sneaked in or overstayed their visas (about 40%), while prospective immigrates currently residing in other countries don’t get that priviledge.
Go back to the workshop, Rubio — this dog don’t hunt.
This no doubt explains Sean Hannity’s sudden post-election “evolution” in favor of so-called comprehensive immigration reform. He didn’t want the conductor to stop his gravy train.
