The writers of the legendary lawman Judge Dredd have caused a stir among fans by suggesting he might be gay.
The latest edition of the comic 2000 AD is titled Closet and deals with the issue of a teenager coming out.
The first page has been released on the internet and apparently shows Dredd - a judge/policeman from the future - kissing the youth in a gay club.
Reaction to the teaser, which was released online last month, has been mixed, with some fans so hostile to the idea they have threatened to burn the comic.

I had heard the recent movie starring Karl Urban was pretty good and thought about renting it, but now...forget it.

Judges can have no love other than The Law, this will turn out different than the tease.
Nah, not gay however I am guessing he’s a predator child molestor. After all he is catered to the kids.
He isn’t catered for the kids, 2000 AD (the comic that gave us Dredd, and Rogue Trooper) is for adults, it’s the British version of Heavy Meta. The two most likely things are the investigation went weird leading to the kiss and Dredd’s realization, which he then puts aside because Judges don’t have relationships; or it’s his brother trying to discredit him, the footage causes him to think, but again he puts it aside, because he’s a Judge.
If they hadn’t been trying so hard to make it popular in America the Stalone Dredd could have been good. Had some good parts, but too much overt comedy. The Urban Dredd from last year is great, real Dredd, very dry humor, and he never takes the helmet off.
Gay, pedophile, figures.
The costume should have been a giveaway.
The movie WAS good. The Comic jumped the shark years ago. . .
That would be Dredd-ful (doing a limp wrist and mincing)
PS: That "youth" doesn't look so young and that "kiss" looks pretty frightening.
