Algerian bomb squads scouring a gas plant where Islamist militants took dozens of foreign workers hostage found "numerous" new bodies on Sunday as they searched for explosive traps left behind by the attackers, a security official said, a day after a bloody raid ended the four-day siege of the remote desert refinery.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said the bodies were badly disfigured and difficult to identify.

Probably a combination of the the “rescuers” being less worried about hostage survival than perpetrator escape.
Mutilated dead bodies are the fruit of islam.
Some of the few people who managed to get out (they were hiding in the complex) said that the kidnappers killed all the hostages when they realized they couldn’t escape. Some of them were shot and I guess others were blown up, hence the disfigurement.
Disfigurment indicates clearly the Islamofascists had plenty of time for killing ~ so they weren’t worried at all about someone escaping.
Lots of folks sure seem to be disappearing or dying without answers in that part of the world.
Lets not forget the 30 odd people who disappeared from the Benghazi compound where Chris Stevens was killed and nobody knows who they are or where they went.

Yes, apparently when they realized they weren’t going to get out, they began to kill the hostages one by one, and it was then that the army launched its full attack. The terrorists had wrapped explosive belts on some of the hostages and cord around the necks of others, so I guess they could blow their heads off to make it more gruesome.
