She should. As the article put it...

If she walked into a bank with a note and demanded $500,000 and then was caught, she would go to jail.

Essentially, that is what she did, except for the part about actually walking into a bank branch. She used a piece of paper to steal a lot of money.

That's probably why Holder's people did federal charges. It protects her from state charges (double jeopardy). Then, Holder can stall the case for a couple of years, and quietly drop it.
