In an unprecedented move, President Barack Obama’s vaunted political organization is being turned into a nonprofit group—funded in part by corporate money—to mobilize support behind the president’s second-term agenda.
Democratic officials familiar with the plan said Thursday the tax-exempt organization will be called Organizing for Action and seek to harness the energy of the president’s re-election campaign for future legislative fights. How in the heck can this qualify for a non-profit status when it is pushing a political agenda?

Why wouldn't it? Lots of non-profits push a political agenda.
Obama is just running rings around us. The Democrats realize politics IS a permanent campaign. Conservatives tend to think we get mad, win an election or two and then we can go back to normal life. No, we need to be out fighting this political war ALL the time - in academia, in the media, in the entertainment industry, in government, etc. Politics never ends, ever. You have to fight all the time, not just occasionally.
They are not supposed to, and churches occasionally get in hot water when politics is preached from the pulpit. The NRA keeps its political arm separate from its non-profit section.
This is a blatant abuse of tax-exempt status. But I imagine most of the MSM will cheerlead it instead. Imagine the uproar from the MSM if Bush had attempted this.
In 4 years this will be well funded to support the Obama’s in the lifestyle they have become accustomed.
Politics is the continuation of war by other means. Republicans don’t realize the the Left is at war with America and everything it represents and Christianity and everything it represents. To win, we must never let up and come up with new ways to battle the Left and even establish new battlefields.
Jim DeMint’s move to the Heritage Foundation is, I hope, one important step in engaging that permanent war so that we can prevail and mitigate and even marginalize the Left in every arena we can.

He’s creating a “brown shirt” fascist organization to enlist his brain washed followers to forment civil unrest.
I think as long as it's "issue advocacy" they can get away with almost anything. So long as they don't name Obama or any other specific candidate or politician, the IRS won't likely touch them.
What we need is a database of donors’ names. Why can’t we ever get that? Breitbart is always talking about the fund raising events and the top donors, but why can’t we ever get a comprehensive list?
“Organize for Communism” is more like it. Will low information voter (idiots) care?
ANY company found to be donating to this ‘organization’ should get an immediate & overwhelming boycott, IMO.
