If Armstrong could avoid the detectors for years and years EVEN THOUGH they were hot after him at every turn, then Im fairly certain that multi-millionaire pro atheletes in the USA can do the same.
If he explains how he beat the tests then we may find out just how many pro sports players are doing the same thing. Lance said that other bikers did the same doping he did, so the technique is known by others. And I'm sure that an effective test can be created now that the doping technique is known. (I hope that made sense)

A person goes on Oprah to make an announcement like this for only one reason - to garner sympathy. Ha, to think I got flamed here for not being on the Lance fan wagon all those years. I tried to explain he's not liked in real life in Austin but nooooo. Very early this morning some talking head hit the nail on the head stating Armstrong does nothing unless it's for Armstrong. He's a has been and can't stand that he's not in the limelight. Heck, he and O are both has beens. She had to get her own channel to prove to herself she's still relevant.

When I heard about Oprah’s interview with Lance Armstrong I was totally shocked. Who knew she had an audience?

There was talk a few years ago of him running for Texas governor. That got squashed fast. With the loss of his titles and lies, he has even less chance in an elected position. Of course, the choom in chief could find they’re kindred souls and appoint him as Drug Czar.

^^^ use of drugs within the sport is widespread ^^^
Anyone participating in men’s sports at college level and above have known this for 40 years, nothing new.
If you want to see how far it has penetrated or society, just go down to your local police station or sheriff’s dept. You will see a large number of folks in uniform using performance enhancing drugs. Shame they can’t make the money the pros do ruining their bodies.

If he runs as a democrat who has bared his soul and wants to give people free stuff to atone he’ll have an easy road to election.

EPO is not detectable, or wasnt at the time he was riding. Blood doping does not involve drugs either, just red blood cels, so not detectable by testing either.

College level? You obviously have never played high school football in Texas!
Heck, I KNOW that we had steroid users in the 80's! Heck, most high schools were putting out "candy jars" full of steroids and pain killers back then.
I was a fan of LA, and even the charges never made me think bad about him. But with his admission, after years of vehement denial, I am really more pissed than anything.
It isn't the act that most people get upset over, it is the lying and cover-up that makes most of us angry! I wasn't upset that Clinton got a Lewinsky; I was pissed because that AC thought he could LIE his was out of it!

LOL!
True, but the biggest difference is that only the COACHES get paid at the HS level!
