Moved out here one year ago. Yep this is totally un-necessary in this neck of the woods.
It is in most of rural America. I only live about 70 miles west of Detroit and people here do what they want regardless of the law.
When our township was under pressure to impose some new ordinances the state wanted the township supervisor said it would be pointless because the people of this area would mostly just ignore them.
