The Congress is not going to pass an assault weapons ban. This is not 1994. In 1994 most people did not own one and most people didn’t even know what they were. Today everyone owns one or three. They are ultra popular and the mood of the country is totally opposed to gun control.

If politicians are good at anything its putting their finger in the wind. There is no way an assault weapons ban will pass both houses of congress. Not this year. I doubt if Reid will even bring Feinstein’s POS bill to the floor of the Senate. There are not many Dem senators that are going on record to vote for gun confiscation.

Oh yes they can! The 1968 GCL and the Clinton AW ban passed only because they added lots of PORK in the form of cash for “crime control”.

Even John Dingell resigned from the NRA Board of Directors to vote for the AW ban.
