Alabama has scored 65 TDs this year.

Notre Dame has scored 9 “Big Play” TDs (TDs Greater than 20 yards).

Alabama has allowed 27 drives into the Red Zone. (2.07 per game)
Notre Dame has allowed 33 drives into the Red Zone. (2.75 per game)

Alabama has allowed 17 Total Scores (TD or FG) in the RedZone.
Notre Dame has allowed 21 Total Scores (TD or FG) in the RedZone.

Alabama is #1 in 1st Downs Defense (13.54 per game)
Notre Dame is 6th in 1st Downs Defense (16.08 per game)

Alabama has shown the ability to score TDs MUCH more easily than Notre Dame.
Alabama has shown itself to be HARDER to drive the football on than Notre Dame has.

Notre Dame has only one, ONE, thing they have shown to be better than Bama, and that is TD scoring in the RedZone. That translated itself into the .3 ppg Scoring Defense edge they have on us. Overall, our defense is statistically better than NDs.

Offensively, we are much better, much more able to make big plays than Notre Dame.

We bring our A-Game. We Win. It is that simple.

I agree, Alabama is the stronger team but you never know what is going to happen until the game is played.

I think Alabama’s offensive strength is running...so I went to youtube and looked up highlights from Lacey and Yeldon...lots of them.

I also think their defensive weakness is their secondary...so I went to youtube to up Golson’s highlights. There were none. All the Notre Dame highlights were running plays and defensive plays with their Heisman candidate. But no passing play highlights - none.

If Notre Dame can’t exploit Bama’s only weakness (long passes), then they can’t win.

Saban is going to run. Then he is going to run some more. Then he’ll put another back in...and run again. And he’ll sprinkle in some passes. He will try to control the tempo of the game as well as field position.

Notre Dame will try to run - and discover they can’t. Golson will try to pass, and just three and out.

I think this could get ugly.
