So, pray tell me, how would things be any different today if we had abandoned the Constitution 80 years ago?

I can certainly tell you that things would be very different if we had not abandoned the constitution in 1861.

To go further... as it’s kind of like the butterfly effect here...

What if we hadn’t abandoned the Constitution on February 25, 1791? Hamilton was gung-ho on a federal bank; Jefferson was TOTALLY against that, and referenced how it breached Article 1 Section 8....

Of course, in this instance (and I’m sure many others), Washington sided with Hamilton.
