If I recall, almost all the ammo purchased was .40 S&W pistol ammo. Good for police work & self defense, but not good for combat.

I can’t figure what they would need so much for. You would think if they were planning for an insurrection they would be buying rifle ammunition.

Many thanks for that info!

See my post above yours, do you know the name of the federal publication where contracts and bids for stuff get published?

Details would really help shed light on this!

“You would think if they were planning for an insurrection...”

I wonder what the procedures are for entering a house of some old nut-ball type with his arsenal of six weapons and 1500 rounds of ammunition is? I was thinking a .40 pistol would be reasonable - but I guess it is SWAT types with rifles that serve those “no-knock” warrants.

Perhaps the pistol would be better to apprehend the extremist as he leaves his desk job of 28 years at the ACME Corporation before he can even get to his arsenal.

I wonder what the frequency of these events could be to not get people all riled up and cause an insurrection?

Sounds like preps for a lot of small confrontations, up close and personal...like weapons confiscations, for instance.
