Actually, I bet Van Hollen forgot to mention that now the Bush tax cuts are OK with the dems after demonizing them for years and years. Funny how that works.

Boehner was forced to take a deal where he only got 98% of what he wanted, insuring tax cuts forever for Americans, and let the dems have a very shallow victory of being able to say that they got a tax increase out of him,for 2% of the rich which they really didn't.

When Boehner made the deal he did he preserved tax cuts for 98% of the country and the dems forced tax increases on 2% of the job producers. Is that a victory? So Boehner got about as much as he could out of a lying pack of thieves.

............................... Also, on a completely different yet similar topic you gotta wonder now if Bush's claims that there were wmds in Iraq that were later sent to Syria was true?

Seems it was.

So who are the big liars now?

Boehner was forced to take a deal...insuring tax cuts forever

Or at least for 2 years.

Boehner won’t get another deal, as from now on meetings will be with Biden and Geithner instead.

In the first place, Boehner should have never been negotiating outside of the House Democrats, let them go make any deals and say no if the deal isn’t right. It’s a matter of ‘know your role’.
