That's been posted and discussed before. Actually, going way beyond that, one group has determined that RICE was first domesticated in the Aleutians and only then brought to Asia.

Which begs the question of where the Aleuts or their ancestors came from.

The Alaskan coast and associated island groups may have been far more settled than tiger ridden China and Indo China 10,000 or so years ago ~ and the use of kelp is absolutely necessary to survival at paleolithic or neolithic levels in that part of the world yet today.

Canadian for kelp is doultz ~ roasted, toasted and flavored!
