As of todays MO DOR monthly report for Dec 2012, there are 160, 184 permits active in the state. I think drilling down to consider only of age (21 on MO unless on active mil duty, then 18 for CCW) would be better, as we can discount all under age kiddos.

Found the updated pop data for 2011, MO pop is ~ 6010628, 6.4% are under 18, so that’s really 5,265,948 “adults”, so the new adult concealed carry rate is as high as 2847 per 100k adults in MO.

Good deal!

Go to your states webpages and see if they post total numbers- would be nice to get all “57” states data in and do it up right...

I’d be glad to compile all the data and come up with a most accurate picture of CCW rates in the US.

This is one of 2 reasons I don’t have a CCW permit anymore. 1 - I can’t carry where I work, 2 - it’s just 1 less govt database to be in. I’m thankful Virginia has decent open-carry and carry loaded in a vehicle laws. I’m hoping for CC without permit.
