“Laura Ingram lost me when she said the Republicans would have to “soften” their stance on abortion”

I don’t believe this. Laura I. is a champion for Right to Life causes. I went to hear her speak at a R to L. event in Milwaukee.
She is a devout Catholic too. I don’t believe that she would suggest that the GOP soften their stance on abortion.
She was a fierce critic of the Romney campaign and at times, it seemed like they were listening.

Laura is beginning to subtly blame the Tea Party’s influence for the Gop’s demise. Theirs are the most conservative views. You will hear more and more words like “evolve”, “rethink”, “soften” and “revitalize” from Conservative talk show hosts. It’s what they and the Republican Party must do in order to survive in any respect. It is a decision they have to make.

However, those who, like me have clung to Conservatism as an extension of their faith, must now separate the two. Barrack Obama has brought an end to our freedom of religious expression and practice thereof. From now on, you will be subject to punishment if you practice beliefs that aren’t compatible with government policy. And so we all have a choice to make too. Laura may choose not to discuss the obvious, much like the issues of birth control, but she can’t turn away from an altered platform and survive in her field any more than the Republicans can.

There is no longer a faction that is able to stand for the Christian’s ability to live according to their faith in this country. Before long, parts of The Word will be illegal to preach or speak right here in America; hate speech you know.

As for me; I am now unaffilliated until and unless The Almighty chooses to intervene and return sanity to this society.
