Well, I never hear Cornell West talking about the culture of crime and death in the GET-TOE. If anything, he sweeps it under the rug.
HE DOESN’T talk about it!
And he DOESN’T LIKE IT when WE talk about it.
So most of us don’t talk about it to spare people
like Cornel West the embarrassment or risk upsetting
him.
So he waits for us to talk about the tragic events on “the vanilla
side of town”, and instantly it’s imperative that he
talk about minority and ghetto violence.
