“I used to think that Notre Dame had some class.”
They are just like the University of Southern California. A bunch of classless rich people who think it’s sportsmanlike to trash talk. One year at UC Berkeley we went down for the SC game. All the SC rooters had “Bang the Bears” T-Shirts and when you asked them about it they said “wait until next week when we play the Oregon Ducks!”
If they get their Obamajob at McDonalds, they’ll have that 6 figure college loan paid off in a jiffy.
Please don’t compare ND to USC . . . who leads the nation (with SMU) in NCAA probations. ND has had one minor probabtion in its stories history, for a minor infraction. We know all about the behavior of SC fans in the Colosseum. But, the only time I have ever heard the “F” word used en masse by ND fans was when Pete Carroll, leading 38-0 in South Bend in the 4th quarter, threw a challenge flag after a remarkable ND catch. He deserved it.
That's rich!! LOL!!!
Well....we did call it the University of Spoiled Children at one time. Had an old girlfriend go there...and she surely was spoiled.
I think it's funny. Kids pretty harmlessly taunting other kids [y'know, like they've always done]. Are you really that bothered by it?
In 2003, we went up to Memorial Stadium to cheer on the Trojans. After the Bears won--in triple overtime--the Cal fans taunted the departing USC fans, yelling, "losers! Losers!"
Oddly enough, that's the last time we ever heard them yell that at us.
