running for POTUS takes years of laying ground work. It’s more than just emotion, you have to back it up with much, much more.

What tells you she's actively pursing this course with the (expressed or strongly implied) intent of running in 2016?

Sorry I don’t follow her in that sort of detail.

Old teens I think.

Getting near to “move out” time by then.

Technically that makes Romney the fourth most conservative.

Yes, it probably does.

Ain't that a kick in the ass?

For what it’s worth, that tends to reflect my view. It’s like a final nail in the coffin. If fag-marriage is imposed on my state by the courts, I’d just as soon see the whole country crash and burn to oblivion. It’s a point which tells me the moral/cultural rot of the nation has rendered it no longer worthy of even trying to salvage.

Sorry I don’t follow her anywhere near close enough to know that.

I do know however, her daughters were low-to-mid teenage years this time.

In the world of teen girls, that is an incredibly important time.

Her important decision will come this time, when that becomes upper-teen years.

Approaching adulthood.

Then her obligation as a mother, is less, and her opportunity as an American is far more.

I believe she reached her decision before the last primary as a mother. Rightfully so, in regret. I do not condemn her at all for that decision.

I believe it is entirely possible next time, her decision might be to run, and to fix America.

I certainly hope so.

We need it.

Fig Newton = GOPe. He’s the ultimate insider and is completely drunk on Potomac water. He’s a bookseller and blowhard.

Pray tell how my comment in any way negates your contention that “God helps those who help themselves” - without salvation, however, we see what solultions look like when there is no thought of God’s rules. I guess you no longer believe in miracles?

“I guess you no longer believe in miracles?”

Actually, I haven’t seen any miracles lately, not that I would not welcome a couple. And it’s fine to use your faith to bolster you. That said, I don’t think that God is going to do a lot about the mess that we mortals have collectively made with respect to our choices for “leaders” in this country. We have made our bed, and He will let us lie in it. My belief is that we must help ourselves before we ask for any “intervention.” The idea that we can just all sit around and pray for a miracle to save us from ourselves doesn’t seem logical to me. And I get really tired of those who are willing to sacrifice a partial loaf when it comes to political leadership because the individual being considered doesn’t share each and every facet of their own belief system. The so-called “Christian Right” crapped on Newt because of his personal life, and I guess they didn’t support Romney because, well he was a member of a church they don’t like. So thanks a million, for four more years of FUBO morons. My guess is that the Lord is having a chuckle over your behavior.

Words cannot convey what I think of your position. Unfortunately, right now there are enough of “you” to keep any solutions from coming forward. You may get your wish. I just hope that it falls heavily on you and not those of us who are seeking workable alternatives.

“Unfortunately, because what you say doesn’t tow the public line, it will not be accepted.”

Vote fraud only works in situations like those in which we find ourselves currently. Namely, an almost evenly divided electorate. Vote fraud may well have tipped this last election. but my guess is that those who are now in control will make very sure that the extent of it is never exposed. If the GOP had run a candidate that had been able to have a 5% margin of victory, the vote fraud would not have been successful. That’s what we have to do. I would encourage you to read with Newt said to the GOP. It’s quite comprehensive, and I think he hits all the weaknesses in the GOP. And I also think that if in two years, the GOP runs the same kind of election support, they may well give up control of the House too.

Gingrich gets loonier by the day. There are many opportunities to push our message out to a broader segment of the voting populace. I am greatly encouraged by two trends in the last election. Young whites, 18 to 25, voted in favor of Romney. And 20 percent of young black males, voted for Romney. As the economy continues to destroy the futures of the young we have an opening. We need to work on our message to young single women.

Leftists, by pushing policies that have destroyed the family, have created two brain-dead constituencies: blacks and single women. By prying away 20% of young black males from these constituencies, we have made a start. Young black men who are entrepreneurs or went to college or are trying to build a future see that future being destroyed. We need to respond to this and encourage it. Ditto with young people in general.

Good post. I like what you're saying and agree and feel the same way.

I only hope it's true, but since the deep disappointment of this last election, I'm pinning my hopes, more than ever, on the Lord and less on man (or woman), regardless of what happens. God's kingdom is an everlasting kingdom that we have access to right now and at some point will supersede all nations and kingdoms including America. It's OK to fight for and care for this beloved country, but it's still man's kingdom subject to man's flaws, so I'm ceasing my RELIANCE on America - my reliance is on Christ and Christ's Heaven.

hmm, I posted a reply a few hours ago, but it’s not here. Oh well- just know that I did vote for Mitt....Man disappoints on a regular basis, but it’s my faith that keeps me from going completely ballistic. So much anxiety out there, and rightly so - most of us have too much to lose to rock the boat in a meaningful way. I think that is all about to change, however.

“...most of us have too much to lose to rock the boat in a meaningful way. I think that is all about to change, however.”

In my opinion, the boat should have been rocked a long time ago. We haven’t had a “Man of the People” as president since RR. Bush was, at the end of the day, a lousy president and he ushered in FUBO with his one issue presidency. The GOP has thrown away every chance they’ve been given to govern according to their announced principles. Now it’s “Zero Dark Thirty” for the country, and they still can’t locate the key to the men’s room (or perhaps more likely that they don’t want to find it)! Here we are, less than two years away from the next election and the GOP hasn’t a clue as to what to do because most of them are weak sisters who seemingly are more interested in the trappings of office than in doing anything substantive. It is indeed time to rock the boat!

Well said- Most the Repubs aren’t worth the powder to blow them to you know where & are 100% part of the problem - so, let’s rock the boat - you go first - what do you suggest?

“what do you suggest?”

Force out Boehner and the House “leadership.” These guys are like the Vichy French. Send the bastard an e-mail telling him he’s a looser. Same for Cantor and McCarthy. If you have a Republican Rep, tell him to vote these guys “off the island.” The Republicans in the House need to understand one thing, they will loose their seats if they don’t act in a manner consistent with what they told their constituent they would. I don’t know how you approach the Senate because it’s broken. Maybe we should all pray for Reid’s demise.

Force out Boehner and the House “leadership.”

Inane idea

The solution is to hold our ground and fight to recover what is lost. Boehner is not at fault. The country is at fault.

Hold until relieved

Hold until relieved

Hold until relieved

Hold until relieved

“Boehner is not at fault. The country is at fault.”

You were half right! Just yesterday someone pointed out that the “behind closed doors negotiations” between Boner and FUBO violate the Constitution.
The budget is supposed to be developed by the House in open meetings. But it doesn’t matter what either of us think, the House will decide if he keeps his job. But I am willing to wager that he goes, because if he doesn’t, the Tea Party members will have a lot of “splainin” to do with their constituents and they have enough votes to keep him out.

Gingrich seems to be advocating for exactly the sort of “Go along to get along” mentality he abhorred when it was Bob Michel doing it.

He’s essentially presenting a false choice between having the GOP destroyed (because it isn’t drawing people in) and having the country destroyed (because the growing demographic groups are demanding things that are economically unsustainable).

The reason why it’s a false choice is because the GOP is dead regardless. The growing demographic groups buy completely into the whole identity politics line and are going to vote Democratic because its what they as ________ (fill in demographic segment) do.

There’s really no way out of this for Republicans, or Conservatives. Moving to the Left just won’t work politically.

I think the solution is to just let the country go over the fiscal cliff. We’re going down the same road as Greece, regardless. Might as well have it happen now, and all at once, than to have it happen slowly over the next 15-20 years.
